Why Employee Reviews are Meaningless

Published
One of Gary's least favorite things about traditional businesses is the concept of employee reviews. Do you know how easy it is for somebody in a management position to discredit a subordinate or try to paint them in a negative light for their own selfish intentions? Most humans are vested only in themselves and will do whatever it takes to make sure somebody doesn't grow faster than they do. It is in the best interest of whoever runs the business to truly know and understand their employees. Understand ones are friends, which ones don't get along and everything else in between so that they can get the best picture of their employees and as much context on them as possible so they can make the right decisions.
