Understanding Employer Rights and Obligations Under the New DOL Regulations on Paid COVID-19 Leave

The Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act and the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act became effective on April 1, 2020, yet employers are still left with many questions. Since our last webinar, the DOL published additional information in FAQs and issued regulations on April 1.

The IRS also has provided some helpful guidance on the types of documentation employers will need to claim a tax credit for the paid leave. While the DOL and IRS information is helpful, this webinar will help explain and simplify the information and answer the frequently asked questions employers still have. The DOL's "non-enforcement period" ends April 17, 2020. Now is the time to make sure your business is compliant with these new laws.
