Today’s Verdict: Rikers Island Update, Human Rights Law for Domestic Workers

Host, David Lesch talks to Tony Herbert, community advocate, from The Advocates Without Borders Network, about the recent situation at Rikers Island in regards to the relocation of the police officers and provides an update as to where the Rikers Island is heading. Next, Katherine Greenberg, Special Counsel at New York City Commission on Human Rights office, is here to talk about the new human rights bill that will protect domestic workers against harassment and expand their rights. Finally, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez from District 10 is here to discuss the Municipal Voting Rights bill that will expand voting rights to residents with permanent legal status and work visas.
