The need to connect in the office vs the right to disconnect – how to square the circle

Published
With a new Employment Bill expected later this year, some unions are trying to ensure a “right to disconnect” is included – a legal right for employees to switch off from work (and related devices) to aid mental health.

In this webinar, our employment lawyers will examine the difficult interplay between the obvious desire to secure employee mental health and the sometimes competing business demands. We’ll consider whether such a system could also be counter-productive to flexible working.

We will be joined by Catherine O’Flynn, Partner, from William Fry LLP in Dublin, who will share some experiences following the introduction of similar laws in Ireland in April of this year.
