The Great Equalizer

Some teams have the inside track for prized athletes (see the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat). Some franchises can find diamonds in the rough and polish them into stars (see the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors). Certain franchises can do neither. They need a way to level the playing field, an equalizer.
