Tesla Gigafactory Texas 10 January 2022 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (09:00AM)

Published
Gigafactory Texas on 10 January 2022! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

It looks like a lot more was going on inside today than outside, with many Tesla employee (I think) Model Y's on the west side ... more than I have seen ever. Could they be letting employees drive these as test? I don't think so, but there is a lot of them today!
It was very windy this morning and although I waited about an hour and a half later to see if I could get better conditions, they really didn't improve, so I altered my planned flight path to accommodate and ensure I got my drone back!

In the video introduction, we look at new information suggesting Giga Texas Production is imminent, this time via Dan Ives from Wedbush Investments and an article in Barons. We also look at the site plan to discuss Phase II expansion area in the south, and what this means in the short and mid-term timeframe. Finally, we look at some interesting special deliveries around the site today, including 7 very large steel beams.

Here are some highlights from around the site this morning:
- At the south end pond area, we see the large "Phase II" area getting more gravel mix and level grading work, now spanning across about 80% of the width of the building and continuing eastward. It seems that more trailers, equipment, and materials have been cleared out, which will allow more grading work
- We see the large yellow crane moved, and several large trucks with interesting deliveries. One of these, in particular looks, like it may be gantry crane and or heavy-duty jack stand parts. Other trucks bringing large crates covered in tarps arrive near the temporary loading platform.
- On the west side of the General Assembly structure, crews were doing detail work on the main "entrance" area, while we see some more progress with solar panel installation on the roof. It appears the panels are being installed with an east and west facing strategy, but it is too early to tell if they will spell out "TESLA" or if they have a different pattern in mind.
- As mentioned earlier, there are a number of Model Y's in the employee parking area on the west side of the General Assembly structure. More than I have ever seen, but I cannot say if these are test units, units given to employees to drive, or if a lot of employees have suddenly purchased Model Y's in quantity. It is interesting and something to continue watching.
- On the north end, we see the HVAC ducting install on the roof continuing and many more HVAC parts arriving and being hoisted up onto the temporary platform for the fourth floor. We also see another small section of concrete being prepared, and more deliveries of materials via semi-trucks.
- Farther north, we see multiple semi-trucks with four gigantic steel beams (the largest I have seen used at Giga Texas) and other trucks with large crates covered in tarps lined up in queue, waiting for directions as to where to go to unload. I am not sure where these will end up, but the beans alone are very interesting to see.
- On the east parking lot area, we see more earthwork to prepare parking spaces on the southeast corner area, while on the north end across Tesla Road, se wee cars parked near where the trailers have been relocated, and cars in a new parking area just south of the electrical substation.
