Safeguarding codetermination – Employee representatives in the supervisory board are important

In Germany, employees have a right to codetermination. Because their voice is important in shaping a fair workplace, both through the works council and also in company decision-making in the supervisory board. However, many companies dodge codetermination or sometimes they just completely ignore it. What is needed, is a response by the legislature.
