The United States of America has recently seen a record number of people quitting their jobs since the start of the pandemic. Economist has termed it the “Great Resignation”. Some of the reasons reported for the mass resignations include burnout, the need for adjustable or flexible working hours, and remote working. Many have been forced to juggle working from home while simultaneously tending to children who need attention. Many may wish to consider moving away from the traditional employment scenario of working 40 hours per week and explore the option of being an independent contractor which would provide greater flexibility.

Ms. Paulette Neil, Associate, Attorney-at-Law at DunnCox, joined host Ms. Deon Mattis on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 to discuss the topic Distinguishing an Independent Contractor from an Employee.
