Quebec vaccine mandate deadline nears for health workers

Published
Ontario, P.E.I., New Brunswick, Manitoba and Saskatchewan have COVID-19 vaccine mandates for health-care workers. Employees who choose not to be vaccinated in those provinces can opt to be tested regularly, instead.

Those who refuse to get vaccinated in Quebec, Nova Scotia, Alberta and B.C. can be suspended or put on unpaid leave. Quebec's healthcare workers have until October 15 to get vaccinated against COVID-19, or they could lose their job. Mike Armstrong reports on how many workers have yet to be immunized and the preparations for a potential staff shortage.
