Prosecutors show jailhouse interview with Parkland school shooter at trial | October 3

Prosecutors continued their rebuttal on Monday in Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz's penalty trial, which will determine whether Cruz gets the death penalty or life in prison. In a jailhouse interview, video of which was shown during testimony Monday, Cruz told a psychiatrist that he started contemplating a mass murder during middle school. Cruz pleaded guilty to the murders of 17 people during a 2018 shooting at Parkland's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
