Pandemic job losses coupled with increasing caregiving demands cost women nearly $800 billion in just one year. As many nations focus on strategies to promote economic recovery, putting women and girls at the center and addressing intersecting systemic and structural barriers is critical for rebuilding stronger, inclusive systems and societies and withstanding future crises.
