PAL/Al-Awda NY Know Your Rights with Moira Meltzer-Cohen

In light of increased state repression against Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, and all allies and comrades on the streets of New York City engaged in a just and legally protected fight in support of the Palestinian resistance, Al-Awda NY/NJ and the Palestinian Assembly for Liberation host attorney Moria "Mo" Meltzer-Cohen (they/Mo) for a Know Your Rights presentation.

Mo is an educator, abolitionist, and criminal defense attorney serving overlapping communities of activists, queer folks, and prisoners.

Mo’s criminal defense work specifically targets 1) those arrested during justice struggles; 2) representation of witnesses before federal grand juries; and 3) advocacy for those seeking gender affirming and other necessary (but often withheld) health care while in prison.
