Nurses being chronically understaffed has been a problem for a very long time, however recently Orlando Regional Medical Center, part of the Orlando Health system, has experienced some absolutely tragic patient outcomes due to the understaffing situations they are experiencing. Today we are going to take a look at some of the current staffing ratios and fallout of their failure to prioritize safe patient care. Orlando Regional Medical Center, the Orlando Hospital flagship of Orlando Health, has done a lot of work to cover up some of the tragedy, and blame the unsafe staffing situations on the nurses, and it cannot continue this way.
