Obi-Wan Kenobi: Did This Major Death Break the Star Wars Timeline? | Canon Fodder

Published
SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't seen Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus yet, read no further because we're about to spoil it! Obi-Wan Kenobi - it's name we haven't heard in a long, long time. Sike, Obi-Wan is everywhere these days thanks to Obi-Wan Kenobi, the newest Star Wars series on Disney +. Parts 1 and 2 show us a new Obi-Wan, played by Ewan McGregor, who has given up on his past life as a Jedi and finds new purpose in a new mission - to save Young Leia Organa, who has been kidnapped from her home on Alderaan. This is a trap, of course, set by the Grand Inquisitor, who is commanding a group of other Inquisitors. Inquisitor Reva played by Moses Ingram is obsessed with hunting down Kenobi and bringing him before Darth Vader, a.k.a. Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen. Obi-Wan has to rescue Leia and keep it all under the radar or risk being discovered by Imperial forces, who are hunting the survivors of Order 66. So join IGN host Clint Gage for Canon Fodder for the full breakdown of Obi-Wan Kenobi plus all the Easter Eggs we could find.

In the hunt for Obi-Wan Grand Inquisitor runs afoul of Inquisitor Reva, who kills him. But does his death conflict with what we know of the Grand Inquisitor from Star Wars: Rebels? With the Inquisitor Death, Rebels set a timeline precedent so it's unclear if the Star Wars timeline had been violated. The Grand Inquisitor Death will certainly have some fans scratching their heads. Did the Grand Inquisitor Die in Kenobi? Good question. We'll jump into what we know in this video.

And speaking of scratching, Flea Obi-Wan Kenobi, the bassist from the Red Hot Chili Peppers cameos as the kidnapper of Young Leia, and Kumail Nanjiani as a fake Jedi con man. The new episodes of Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi also include references to The Last Jedi and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and its newly-announced sequel Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
