Muller and Mane joke about Lewandowski as Bayern Much vs Barca
Bayern Munich welcome Barcelona and their former star Robert Lewandowski back to the Allianz Arena in the Champions League group stage fixture on Tuesday night and their attacker, Thomas Muller has revealed his funny conversation with their new star signing from Liverpool Sadio Mane.
Lewandowski left the Bavarians to join the Spanish side this summer. The Poland striker spent eight years at Bayern alongside Thomas Muller winning countless trophies and awards. The German attacker has revealed that Mane has been teasing him about passing to Lewandowski during the Champions League group match.
“For the past 10 days, Sadio Mane has been having fun telling me not to accidentally pass the ball to Lewy. We have to play our game, but we can’t let Lewy play his game. He’s a top striker, he’s dangerous in or close to the box. We have to stop him from getting into shooting positions.” Muller also jokes that he hopes to prove Lewandowski wrong to leave the Bundesliga champions for Barcelona.
