Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the government needs to be doing “better” on matters of accountability and transparency after several ministers were found to be in breach of the ministerial code of conduct.
Regional Development and Local Government Minister Kristy McBain was found to be in breach of the Parliament’s code of conduct by divesting shares to her husband.
Two other ministers were found to be in breach of the code, which was put in place by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
“It certainly hasn’t been a good start to the job,” Mr Clennell said.
