Lili Herawati, an Indonesian migrant worker (PMI) from Aceh Tamiang, was mistreated in Malaysia while working.

Lili, who is now 24 years old, worked as a domestic worker for eight years and was allegedly tortured by her employer throughout that time.

"He was held captive and tormented by his employer for eight years, and he lost communication with his family," said Asrizal Asnawi, a member of the Aceh DPR and a liaison for the victim's family.

"Tgk Haikal has now secured Lili in a location with the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia," Asrizal added.

Asrizal stated that he initially became aware of the tragedy after receiving information from the Acehnese in Malaysia, who requested that he hunt for Lili's family.

Lili moved to Malaysia when she was 16 years old, in 2014. She was accompanied by a TKW agent from the nearby district.

Lili was placed to work at a house owned by the FZ and MF families after arriving in Malaysia. Lili receives a monthly salary of Rp 2,325,514 from her employer.

Lili was allowed to interact with her family when she first started working, but their link was severed the next year when the victim was held captive by her employer.

As a liaison, Asrizal quickly arranged for Lili's mother to travel to Malaysia to see her kid. Make an attempt to return home as well.

In addition, Asrizal will fight for Lili's rights during her eight years of labor, alongside the people of Aceh and the Indonesian Embassy, and lobby for Lili's torture.

"We're currently dealing with passports, and God willing, my mother and I will travel there next week; we're doing our best," he ended.
