Miami Hurricanes Land Surprise QB Commit Vic Sutton, Where Canes Stand With 5-Star Nyckoles Harbor

The Miami Hurricanes have received a commitment from 3-star quarterback Vic Sutton in the Class of 2023. Sutton appears to be a preferred walkon, who also had Power 5 offers from Arkansas, Maryland and Virginia Tech. Sutton is a dual threat quarterback who likes to attack downfield and possesses shifty moves as a runner. The fact that he’s a walkon, not a scholarship player, likely means he isn’t the backup plan for any of Miami’s veteran quarterbacks in case one decides to enter the portal.

Host Alex Donno reviews his thoughts on Sutton. Donno talks about 5-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor, who considers Miami among his finalists heading into a February 1st commitment. Harbor, at 6-5 225 with Olympic potential track speed, wants to focus on the offensive side of the football at TE or WR. Donno would love to see Harbor line up wide at Miami and become Andre Johnson 2.0. Michigan and South Carolina are considered the favorites. Does Miami have a shot?

Donno recaps a great start for Miami signee Rueben Bain at Under Armor All America. Bain has been a consensus standout performance so far, and could still earn his 5th star. Miami is a finalist for class of 2024 5-star cornerback Ellis Robinson out of IMG Academy. Miami is on his short list along with Colorado, Alabama, Georgia and LSU.
