I am presently working in a corporate world looking forward to find an employer such as you and I would like to have a career move as a freelancer and work at the comforts of my home.
I am an experienced nurse in the Philippines and also licensed in New York and Texas as a registered nurse. I am currently working as a telemedicine nurse, who work remotely in the Philippines while working as a TelemedRN for Hospice Patients in Texas. I do nursing interventions telephonically and documenting patients concerns in our EHR and coordinate with the healthcare team in the US.
What I do:
• Assist family members calling on behalf of terminally ill patients. Areas covered: Prescription, Home-visit follow-up, non-urgent medical and test result questions.
• Review the in-basket continuously throughout the day to triage all unread messages.
• Reach out to patients by telephone for urgent issues and to the local site via telephone or email as needed.
• Perform appropriate chart reviews and respond directly to patients.
• Route messages requiring further clinical assistance from the site to the appropriate pool or provider (e.g. request for changes in medication, new onset medical conditions or symptoms, referrals)
My qualifications:
• Active USRN license in New York and Texas
• NCLEX passer
• Knowledge about hospice care and home health services
• Experienced in documentation on EHR/EMR
• With almost 1yr BPO (Business processing outsource) experience
• Triage phone handling experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to handle interactions with facility personnel and providers in a professional manner.
• Proficient in MS office: Word, Excell
• Good knowledge in the healthcare and medical domain
• Willin to work on shifting schedules
