Los Angeles Truck Drivers Unionize for Workers’ Rights

Published
Hundreds of truck drivers at the county’s biggest port complex are coming together in an effort to unionize, claiming they’re being overworked and underpaid.

“BNC Live” host Laverne McGee is joined by Walter Morris, who says truck drivers at the ports of Los Angeles in Long Beach are responsible for moving the country’s cargo from point A to B. The truck drivers are now working to join the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, hoping to get better pay, benefits and paid time off.
