Kashmiri Pandits Stage Protest Over Budgam Attack, Forces Launch Massive Search Operation

After a Kashmiri Pandit was killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Thursday afternoon, members of the Kashmiri Pandit community took to the streets in different parts of the union territory to protest.

Protesters blocked the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway near Vessu village on Thursday evening. In a video from the protest, people can be heard chanting 'We want justice'.

The community also staged a protest at Mattan transit camp in Anantnag district and in Budgam's Chadoora where the incident took place.

Kashmiri Pandit government employees, who are serving in the Valley, also staged protests against the government and said it had failed to fulfil its promises.
