Job Search Tip of the Week: Always Send a Thank You Email After an Interview - City Personnel

Published
Sending a thank you email after a job interview can increase your chances of success by more than 40%. 81% of hiring managers feel that thank you emails are helpful when deciding between two similar candidates. Unfortunately, only 57% of candidates end up sending thank you emails after an interview.

Make sure to send the email 24 to 48 hours after the interview is complete. Keep the email short and show appreciation for the time they spent with you.
Also, remind the interviewer about something significant you went over in the interview. This will help them recall who you are.

Lastly, show interest in moving forward with the hiring process. This simple email can help you obtain your next job, so make sure to always follow up after your interview with a thank-you email.

Now that you know the importance of a thank you email, good luck on your job search!
