Should you apply for a job even if you do not meet all qualifications?

Job seekers often worry about what they should do if a job application includes too many qualifications. The traditional advice is "Don't apply for jobs you aren’t 100% qualified to perform."

But I'm here today with some good news:
It's wrong! And missing just one qualification can cost you thousands of dollars in salary potentials - so let me break it down…

You may think that employers are looking for 100% matches, but the reality is they just want to know you can do the job. They don't operate with an ironclad rule of "We better never hire this person unless they have our exact requirements" instead saying if a candidate meets 80% then goes out and gets 20%, will make them great hire in my book!

So you might ask…Why Is this myth so common?
The idea that we can predict who will do best at a company by asking them to check off all the qualifications they meet is complete nonsense. And yet, this practice has become so common sense over time through its use in hiring processes - especially those where only one percent of applicants are chosen for an interview or some other form on consideration — that many organizations don't even think twice before implementing 100% matches based solely upon what applicant cannot do instead of how well he/she might be able to use their skills!

Why not apply?
You can't predict how well you'll do at a job and company until after getting there. And if employers are only looking for 80% or more of their qualifications in candidates, then not applying because you don’t meet 100% means you have zero chance of getting hired!

So, my advice.. APPLY! You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
