This video is created by Karen Cole of Legal Minded Friends to give you information on the process of interviewing from a candidates and employer viewpoint. Although the aspects of the Law are particular to England and Wales, the concepts could be applied wherever you are located and will help to understand the interviewing concepts. *Though your local Laws may differ, be sure to find out how your laws deal with these issues.

I go through different examples using short clips to illstrate a point like how to answer a question if you are not sure, and what to expect, what are the legal recouses and we look at a real case that was decided by the courts at a judicial review, involving a candidate who applied for an internal post within the police authority.

The matter escalated to having a Police Misconduct Panel review the candidates' behaviour, which led to a decision remedy by giving a final written warning. This decision was appealed by the Police Appropriate Authority (The West Midlands Police) and filed, so they continued by seeking Judicial Review through The High Courts Of Justice King's Bench Division Administrative Court.

At the end, I give you my detailed view and analysis.

Clips and photo images are fair use for commentary review.
