Jabrill Peppers Says He Had to "Jump at the Chance" to Play for Bill Belichick

FOXBORO, MA -- Newly Signed DB Jabrill Peppers spoke to the media for the first time since signing a contract with the New England Patriots this offseason. Peppers said he had to "jump at the chance" to play for Bill Belichick.

Peppers on recovering from his torn ACL: "It's going well. I'm doing a great job listening to the medical professionals. I haven't had any setbacks."

Peppers on the talent in the Patriots' safety room: "I just wanted to be a guy to come in here and add to that. Compete with those guys."


Peppers on his game: "I think I'm a tough, hard nosed, hard worker. I still think that my best ball is ahead of me. I think I'll fit in pretty well with the guys here - the mindset."
