WGU, also known as Western Governors University, is an online college that allows people to get their college degrees at an accelerated pace through what’s known as “competency based education”

They offer around 30 different majors at the bachelors and masters level such as: Health degrees, technology degrees, education degrees, and business degrees. Most (if not all) of the degrees that are offered have high placement rates, meaning you are very likely to get a job. In other words, they refuse to give out useless degrees. Education degrees for instance, may be low/mid paying, however education grads have high demand and very low unemployment rates in the economy after graduation, and they actually work in the field they studied. Whereas if you look at a sociology degree, almost no one works in a sociology related job, many are unemployed, and many more are underemployed.

In today’s video, I’m going to be going over everything you need to know about WGU if you’re a beginner and possibly interested in them. Just attending WGU normally, you can probably graduate with a bachelors in around 2 years, whereas a normal university takes 5.1 years on average. I’m also going to briefly go over strategies that people use with websites like,, and to graduate from WGU in even shooter amounts of time, sometimes less than 6 months.
