In an interview with Jordan Palmer, Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke says he prefers playing on the road because it gives him a true college atmosphere. He mentioned Hard Rock Stadium, Miami’s home, being far from campus and difficult for students to get to on game day. A clip went viral on Wednesday via Tik Tok.

Donno feels that Tyler was not intending to call out the thousands who do loyally show up every week. As for the comment about students, we all need to remember that Miami has a tiny student body compared to most of the traditional college football powers. There are only 12,000 undergrads at The U and many of them are foreigners. It’s up to the city and the South Florida locals to embrace the team and make the atmosphere great, like it was in 2017 when Miami pounded Notre Dame.
