To begin with, how do you walk into an interview room and introduce yourself in a way that will impress the hiring manager?
So, there are three things you should always remember:
#1. Knock before you walk into the interview room. When they invite you in, stand tall, be confident, and smile.
#2. Offer a firm handshake, say hello, and look each interviewer in the eye.
#3. Only sit down in the interview chair when they invite you to do so. This demonstrates good manners.

Now, once the interview starts, the interviewer will ask you to introduce yourself. This is your opportunity to briefly tell the interviewer a little bit about you and what can you can bring to the role.

Before I give you a brilliant example introduction in a live interview, there are four things you should say in your introduction. Let’s take a look at them:

#1. At the very start of your introduction, thank the interviewer for giving you the chance to be interviewed for the position – this demonstrates good manners.

#2. Next, tell the interviewer you have read the job description and that you have the skills and qualities to be able to do a great job for them in the role.

#3. Then, tell the interviewer 3 words you would use to describe yourself. These words should be positive, work-related, and above all, they should stand out from the other candidates.

#4. Tell the interviewer what you will do in the role if they hire you. This a great thing to say in a job interview introduction because it helps the interviewer visualize you in the role!

Let me now give you an example of a brilliant job interview introduction that is guaranteed to impress the hiring manager:
