FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated that immigrant workers building the stadiums for the 2022 World Cup being held in Qatar will have gained pride having built these stadiums. This was said to bypass the topic of working conditions and deaths occurring during the construction of building the stadiums. Workers have no rights, their passports/working visas removed and held hostage.
