What is Sexual Harassment?

Sexual harassment refers to the unwelcoming physical, verbal, or gesture behavior of one person, towards another.

It might be in different forms like: touching or making some physical contact, with the person without his or her consent; making sexual comments; asking for making physical relationships; staring at a person; making sexual body movements or; insulting someone with sexual comments.

A simple touching, grabbing, or teasing is allowed in every organization nowadays.

However, when a person does them repeatedly to another person, without his consent, then it could be considered sexual harassment.

In fact, many employers have now announced, that asking an employee for a date repeatedly, is also considered sexual harassment; if the other employee complains about it to the HR officials.
