If you want to learn how to hire the right person, these are 3 highly effective strategies to attract and retain top talent in your business.

Many people struggle to find the right person to hire in their business.

They want to attract top talent but they end up with a lot of "B" and "C" players.

People fill the roles without having the proper skills to help grow the company.

Even if they do hire the right person, that person may not last long because they'll quit.

So today's video shares with you 3 different techniques you can use to fix these hiring problems.

The very 1st thing you should do is write a crystal-clear job description.

When you write a generalized description, you will attract a pool of generalized, low-quality candidates.

For example, you might say "I am looking to hire a Facebook advertising person to manage the FB ads for my business."

That's very general and you won't find exactly who you are looking for.

How could we make that better?

"I am looking for a Facebook ads specialist who can drive 1,500 - 2,500 leads per month into my funnel."

Can you see how the 2nd example will screen out generalized candidates?

And lead you to exactly who you are looking for?

Focus on the outcome first.

This will have the added bonus of saving you time in the interview process.

That's the first tip with how to hire the right person in your business.

The 2nd thing you want to do is be able to know what talent looks like.

You do this in 1 or 2 ways.

First, you can work this specific role in the business yourself.

You don't do this to become an expert and it could only be for a week or 2.

Possibly less.

The reason for this is to have a simple baseline understanding what the role is like.

When it comes time to interview the right person for your business, you'll be able to easily spot the difference between generalized talent and rock stars.

The 2nd way to do this is by reading books.

I don't code PHP, it's not my core skillset.

But I've read a few books on it.

So I have enough understanding to separate a true PHP coder...

From somebody who took a few quick courses online and says they are good.

I ask questions and listen to how they answer them in the interview process.

The 3rd thing is you want to make sure you hire people who are smarter than you.

They are your greatest assets.

They are the ones responsible for growing your business.

So you want people who are better at you in these specific areas...

So they can thrive in their role while you focus on growing the business.

You can learn from them and they'll show you thinks you don't know already.

This can help level up your experience by hiring people above where you currently are.
