The last time we were talking tax reforms, it was 2019 and Labor lost the un-loseable election. That left us with two things - Scott Morrison as prime minister and governments reluctant to touch tax reform for fear of losing the electorate. Fast forward to now: the economy is slowing, the budget is in a pretty big mess, there's $50bn of tax concessions a year for superannuation and an electorate that might just be willing to see some of that clawed back.
