Health Care Perspectives and Employee Training on Hiring

The REAP Health Care Employer Event brought together employers, potential employers, reentry organizations, and others to share developing strategies to improve hiring opportunities in the NYC health care sector for people with past criminal records. Tonya Richards, chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and Curtis Dann-Messier, director at NYC Health + Hospitals Peer Academy, discussed health care perspectives on hiring. Gyasi Headen, director of workforce development at Osborne Association, and Tara Gilbert, director of business development at STRIVE, discussed training employees for the health care sector.

This event was hosted in partnership with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
