From Engineer to Project Manager: Resume Review & Feedback - Tips to Switch into Project Management

Published
Hi Recipe for Success Viewers,

Today, I'm sharing another resume review!~ This is when one of you (aka a recipe for success viewer) sends in their resume and asks for feedback! Today's resume comes from an aspiring project manager - that is someone who is not currently a PM or project coordinator but looking to dip their toes into the field and pivot! Based on their resume, you can see that they are an engineer and want to move into project management roles.

In this video, I share:
- my initial reaction when reading through their resume
- what I like about their resume setup
- what I think could use improvement and opportunities to improve their resume
- answering some of their general career questions: Can they still become a project manager without a bachelors degree?

I hope you enjoy this feedback and find it useful if you're in a similar position! These tips are useful regardless of if you're looking to be a Google PM or PMI-focused PM. In general, these tips could apply to anyone working in a corporate environment and are based on my own learnings. If you also want me to look at your resume, email me!
