This is our final episode of this series on Catholic Social Justice Teaching.
In this episode Alisha, Annie, Lauren, and Stacy discuss Feminism through the lens of Rights and Responsibilities and Solidarity, both being themes of Catholic Social Justice Teaching. We discuss the roots of feminism and how the rhetoric has shifted since the 60s and 70s. We propose that we as Catholics should be working together to refocus the feminist conversation back from narrowed personal gains to that of a wider global sustainability. Helping other women be successful and setting the world ablaze with what women are.
"The world doesn't need what women have. The world needs what women are." - St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (St. Edith Stein)
**** Possible trigger topics that are discussed- abuse, briefly pornography and sex trafficking, abortion
