Maybe see if you agree or if you've got I don't know how to kind of deal with it. I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who used to be much further left than me at least before I started listening to you all. and he goes you know I'm just tired of all this trans stuff. and I was like okay but you know there's kind of one side that's responsible for totally the discourse is the way it is. and he's like yeah yeah no I know you know but still. and it was like we could comment just. like well, that kind of like you know the right poisons the wealth so deeply that even people sympathetic to an issue just kind of seem to get pulled by some I don't know how to describe it you know well gravitational field almost. I mean this is how it works. I mean this is why like this is I mean this is why they do this. and I have a friend who says the same thing as she had me. I sort of like why like why is this so prominent in your head. and she's like well things really change like there really seems to be a big push over the past year or two. and I'm like but if you look at every piece of legislation that has been passed, almost every single piece of legislation that's been passed it is and I think there's like close to like 50 or 60 pieces of legislation they have all been in some way anti-trans. they've been anti you know like gender-affirming care. they've put restrictions on it in terms of parents and in terms of this. and the only thing that has changed over the past let's say two years has been an increase in the number of people under the age of 18 kids under the age of 18 who have had puberty blockers and the number of patients who have had hormone therapy. okay. and I'll give you those figures right now. This is from Komodo health. The number in 2016 and 2017 was 633 ages 6 to 17. they don't break it down before that. and highly I think intuitively think it's very safe to assume that you're not giving a six-year-old a puberty blocker because they're not puberty is not imminent for them. but let's say it's 10 to 17. but you know it includes more than that 633 in the country in 2017 that number doubled by 2021 to 1390. we're talking less than 2 000 kids.
