Disability Inclusion at Work in the Emergency Management Sector

The Disability Inclusion at Work in the Emergency Sector panel was facilitated by Colleen Furlanetto OAM, AV Board Member, CFA Volunteer, VICSES Associate member and Former Commercial Vehicles Victoria Disability Commissioner.

Colleen was joined by a panel to discuss:
• Practices to improve accessibility at all phases of recruitment in order to actively attract more candidates with a disability;
• Good practices that individuals and teams can embed to instinctively enable accessibility;
• Indication of barriers that prevent development into more senior roles and discussion of suggestions of how to remove them.
