CSW66 - Political Women Addressing Gender, Climate Change & Conflict

Published
Climate change and conflict have specific, differentiated gendered impacts. However, as with most systemic shocks, just when the voice and agency of women and girls are most needed to ensure political settlements are sustainable and inclusive policy-making supports equitable livelihoods and builds democratic resilience, they are most likely to be excluded from the decision-making that affects their lives. This event will enable political women and girls from across the globe to discuss what meaningful access to the policy spaces where decisions are made would look like, and their solutions for these two drivers of continuing gender inequality and women's disempowerment.
