Speaker Bio:

Jose is the CEO and managing partner at Alder Koten and president of IMD International Search Group. His clients include some of the world’s most recognized organizations and investors. In leading his team, Jose Ruiz partners with clients to help them recruit talent and develop thriving organizations. Jose Ruiz is also involved in executive search work focused on board members, CEOs, senior-level executives, and consulting engagements related to leadership and organizational effectiveness, helping clients create thriving cultures.

An essential part of his time is spent on research work focused on organizational effectiveness centered on leadership and culture. Before joining Alder Koten, Jose was a Principal with Heidrick & Struggles’ Global Industrial Practice based in Houston, TX, and Monterrey, Mexico.

His professional experience also includes leadership positions in engineering and operations management for manufacturing organizations in the US and Mexico. This experience includes serving as vice president and general manager at Holley Performance Products. Jose is a contributor at Forbes.com, writing about executive leadership and career development.

Jose is a board leadership fellow at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and is certified in cybersecurity oversight by Carnegie Mellon University.

As a board member of Conscious Capitalism in Mexico and a member of the Senior Leadership Network in the United States, Jose is part of a global community of business leaders dedicated to elevating humanity through business. He also serves on the board of Shelmex and IMD International Search Group.

Jose holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
