South Africa's Constitution states that everyone has the right to both security and control over their body, but what happens when this right also infringes on workplace operational and business requirements and public health imperatives. Last week, the Discovery Group announced that it intends to implement a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy effective on the 1st of January 2022 for all its employees, with consideration to the employee's health, religious and other legal rights and seek to balance these with the rights of all employees.
