Canada Immigration Reform Plan : Good News for Temporary Foreign Workers | Canada Work Permit 2022
Changes to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) have been announced by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
So, There are a total of 13 revisions intended to improve the Temporary Foreign Workers Program (TFWP) and tighten protections for TFWs.
According to ESDC, the following measures will guard against the maltreatment and abuse of TFWs in Canada:
Requiring employers to educate all TFWs about their legal rights in Canada; Preventing retaliation by employers against employees, such as against individuals who raise complaints; and,
