Bullying in the Workplace - Employee Rights

Published
A new survey has revealed that Canadian employers are making expensive mistakes when it comes to bullying in the workplace and employee rights. Employment lawyer Alex Lucifero spoke to CTV News about workplace rights when harassment strikes,

A Forum Research poll of 1,800 people found that 55 per cent of Canadians were bullied at work, or had co-workers who experienced bullying in the workplace. One in two employees reported bullying to their employer. Only one in three employers took action to put an end to the workplace bullying.

Alex Lucifero is an Ottawa employment lawyer, and managing partner at employment law firm Samfiru Tumarkin LLP. He joined host Trisha Owens on CTV Ottawa Morning Live to review those common mistakes, how employers can avoid them, and what employees can do when harassment and bullying occur in the workplace.
