Betty White passes away (1922 - 2021) (USA) - BBC News - 31st December 2021

Published
Betty White, the Golden Girl with a heart of gold has died at the age of 99, just a few weeks before her 100th birthday in January (17th). From the the beginning of television until very recently, she was in films or television and was a US national treasure and internationally famous for Golden Girls if nothing else, though she had many credits to her name. More discussed here about her and her longevity.

For those that follow, culture, celebrity, biographies, people, television and film or any combination, and knew of Betty, you will know there is a lot more to her story that is very interesting and even eye opening.

I remember seeing her in many films and television programs from the 1950s to the present, many in the last few years alone and she was known for being happy, all the time, something that drove Bea Arthur on the Golden Girls mad at times, as she was so happy, or to coin a phrase: 'it drove her nuts!'

And she did make many people smile and laugh with her, on many an occasion. She had fans of all ages as well. Thanks for all the laughs, Betty.
