Our vacation rights are regulated in the employment contract number 6.
Where each of us is entitled to mandatory holidays and notional holidays as well as annual holidays.
During holidays, our employer may not ask us to work within 24 hours. Where if workers do it voluntarily please but are not entitled to pay.
If the employer tells us to work on our days off or not, then we must notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
And if during our day off, the employer wants us to work, it must be replaced with another day of at least 60 days.
For weekly holidays, "MANDATORY HOLIDAYS" means that you CANNOT ACCEPT OVERTIME MONEY.
If caught, the employer will be fined 100,000 Hong Kong Dollars. And if the employer orders us to work, or even asks us to leave early for work, the employer can be fined 50 thousand Hong Kong dollars.
