Addressing the legal and tax issues for employers for hybrid and remote working

The concept of the ‘workplace’ has changed for many, following the pandemic when those who could work from home were required to do so. The majority of employees now want to work from home for at least part of the week, commonly known as hybrid working, or to work entirely remotely with only sporadic trips to the ‘office’. Employers have developed policies and practices for hybrid and remote working, have invested in creating flexible ‘office’ spaces and spent small fortunes on IT software and systems, with the necessary security requirements, allowing their employees to be able to work from anywhere. As many of us now know, hybrid and remote working has both pros and cons for employers and employees alike as we continue to seek the best of both worlds.
