A company based in Cornwall has been given the job of overseeing a £70 billion contract to help deliver the country's transition to Net Zero - the target of completely negating the number of greenhouse gases by reducing emissions. The Place Group - which is based at The Regent, Chapel Street, Penzance a stone's throw away from the home of the pixies- has won the huge contract to "control, manage and deliver" the public sector transition to Net Zero.

The cursory check shows the director has had 8 dissolved businesses in the last 10 years, a further 5 very similar ones, and this one has already changed the name from a completely different industry once. So it should be completely fine. Nothing to see here!

This company has a recommended credit limit of £ 20,000 and a contract limit of £ 30,000 and gets awarded a £70,000,000,000 contract by the Tory government. Move along please, nothing to see here.

The average No of employees in 2019 and 2020 was 2, that will be the company directors or a director and secretary. So they basically outsource everything. Wonder what the margins will be? What was the competitive tendering process? What is their biggest project to date etc? Any declared conflicts of interest? Prior donations to Conservative Party etc?

What exactly is this for the Government anymore? You might as well one have a man with a big bag of cash, exchanging it for dubious, unscrutinized promises, written on the back of a fag packet, with the Legal advisors now disallowed from advising whether it's lawful… Under the cat and nine tails of Cruella Braverman

The government are absolutely fine with Phoenix companies. They say they are illegal but, in practice, they get the green light and they are good to go. ! A phoenix company is defined as one that has been known by the same, or a similar, name or trading name as a company in liquidation…

Remember Chris Grayling handing lucrative no-deal Brexit ferry service contracts to a brand new firm with no ferries… and dodgy PPE contracts to Matt Handoncocks neighbor…

The next, obvious question is 'Who in this company knows who in the Tory party and what precisely is their relationship?' maybe a good investigative journalist could help here…

Shouldn’t take long to follow the paper trail as to which set of cronies this contract came from, they’re so corrupt now they don’t even bother hiding it! £70b or £37 billion. Seems like only the general public give a feck where that went, but who cares about honest taxpayers?
