Reflections on Transition and Career Development Somewhere Near the End of COVID-19: A Proven 9-Step Process for Helping Young People with Significant Disabilities Start Their Successful Careers

For the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has presented unique challenges and opportunities related to career exploration and establishment. This presentation will discuss best practices in interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the needs of transition-age youth in the WIOA and Employment first era and identify specific strategies for special education and employment support professionals in guiding transition-age youth and their families through a person-centered nine-step career counseling process that is widely used to help people with disabilities begin their careers.
