Accommodation requests are something that companies have been responding to for decades, but over the course of the last year, the rate in which they are being requested, and the reason they are being requested, have expanded. Whether it's a work-from-home request or exemption from a vaccine mandate, understanding what entitles an employee to an exemption and how to respond to a request is paramount to protecting your company from a claim of disability discrimination and/or disability on account of religious beliefs.
