Alberta 's Employments Standards: 13 minimum standards that you have to know .

Employment Standards Code and Regulation.
a. Employment Standards is provincial legislation that sets rules for employer - employee relations.
b. Minimum wage, overtime and vacation pay, layoffs and termination, and payment of earnings are common Employment Standards issues.

Employment Standards are the minimum employment related requirements for employers and employers in the workplace. In Alberta, our employment standards are contained in the employment standards Code and the Employment Standards regulations by official reference.
