2022 might be the worst year yet for China's most vulnerable labor group, the rural migrant workers.
Chen's father is currently working on an urban wastewater pipeline project in a city in Zhejiang province. He told Radio Free Asia that his father's greatest challenge this year was overdue salaries.
Chen, a resident of Henan province, said, "It's not about unemployment; it's the wage arrears. The boss won't pay him anything, only saying he does not have money.
